I believe that you can still get them from Ruger. If this is incorrect somebody please post the current info.

    What Woodnbow said.
I know it's not what you are looking for, so use till you find the correct wrench.

I actually just bought my first old army. Mine came with the Ruger nipple wrench, as well as I had another one from TOTW. Both are garbage, I don't understand how anyone ever used them. A 3/16" socket would work, but a 3/16" nut driver is the cats meow. One will be in my shooting bag.

+1 - Easier than using the wrench.
Old enough to know better, young enough to do it anyway!

The wrench is fine to keep in the box for the sad day when you might sell the gun. For everyday use, the nut driver is a much better tool.

I, too, went with a nut driver. Klein makes an excellent one if you can find one (took me a long time).

I just like Klein hand tools after seeing a coworker ground one out working in an A/C disconnect box. They don’t claim to protect you but it sure saved his butt! They look good too, but certainly aren’t necessary. Had I have been able to find a Ruger wrench I likely would have bought it instead, though I sure like my nutdriver. And because it took so much effort to find a Klein I bought Track of the Wolf nipples with the same configuration (excellent nipples by the way!).

Walmart has a small pack of nutdriver bits that includes the 3/16 for about five bucks.

Since last July I've had a tee handled driver set put up for sale to Ruger Old Army owners for the longest time on another web site for $2.99 plus postage. Saw it at an unclaimed freight type operation and snagged it knowing that somebody out there in the BP community would need it.
You are the first person who appears to have needed one.
Will send you a PM, a link to the ad and picture.
