New to the ranks of PCing

Just received my materials yesterday.

Here are some of my first results.

First pic is an overview of work so far. I used Systema containers (#5 from WallyWorld and Weighted pellets for blanket fill.

Second pic is my first 2 attemps with some 230gn 45ACP projectiles. RAL 5005

Third pic is my 3rd batch of 45 Colt 255 grn Kieths. RAL 7000

Thanks to all the fore runners to this system. Looks like it's gonna be fun and useful.

I have had great luck with powder from powder by the pound also!
Its easy to use and the results are great.

Need some more information. Power from where? Type of bullet cleaner you use. Temperature of oven and length of duration in the oven.

These powders were from Prism.

Usual temp and time: 400* for 20 minutes after they started flowing.

I only cleaned the 45Colts with 92% alcohol, they'd been sitting around a while.

I'm not one to teach. This is my first day of it. There's a plethora of information in this subdivision of the forum.

Cliffs notes:

Get a small table top oven.
Get some of Smoke’s PC powder.
Follow his shake and bake directions.
Place in oven and bake as directed.
Take out and let cool.
Size as usual.
Load.
Shoot.

I’ve personally been putting it off because I have so much Lubrisizer stuff but will PC when hanging out with my buddy 45cal. It really is that easy. We use a Harbor Freight electrostatic Gun, but process still the same.

You should try it.

Well, I had good intentions of getting 50 bullets powder coated but never got it done therefore the questions once again. Retired now and sometimes I have some time or at least I will when I get my painting done.

Somebody wiser than me once said: "We teach best what we need to learn the most" & "If you don't Try you Can't "do" anything". Give you self some credit. It's not real hard to Teach when you're having so much fun at what your doing.

Isn't that just the truth! Need to cast more so I can coat more seems to be a theme. Gotta new mold so I need to cast with it so I can coat more....

I size pneumatically, but a manual press will work. Inverting a press and putting together a simple feed tube increases production a lot.

I added a pneumatic cylinder to a Rock Chucker years ago then a few years later I just used a Pneumatic Cylinder alone. My feed tube has undergone several changes over the years. The one in the photo is held in place by a switched magnet so it is easy to relocate. Just some ideas to think about.

Lee sizing dies work well, but are a little off.

Yes, I hand feed into the tube. Age and arthritis has taken a tole so my dexterity is nowhere as good as it was when I was younger, but even so I can size a steady 35 bullets a minute or at least until I need a break.

I constructed a bullet feeder, but by the time I loaded the feeder tubes I could have done it by hand. So I converted the bullet feeder to feed cases into my Ram Buster. I run all my range pickup of 9mm & 45 ACP into it to remove any bulge in the cases and once full length sized it makes the brass like new.
