What do I have here?

I recently scored a whole bunch of 310 tools/dies and a bunch of Shell resizers.
I can’t figure out what these little pieces are though.
Anyone know?
The die is punched 250&257 the punch that screws into the top is stamped 450
The separate punch is stamped 257

I believe them to be Lyman Tru-Line press dies, the forerunner of the EzeLoader. I have a small assortment of them,but haven't found a press yet. I'm not quite sure how the top piece is used, but the bottom die is most likely a bullet seating die for both .250 Savage and .257 Roberts. One of my dies is nearly identical, and is marked.308-- 249 and 30-40 G on the body, and 249 on the stem.

Included with my dies is a large internally threaded cap nut with a knurled ring on the bottom of the "nut", that slips over the die body and against the collar on the die , and holds it into the press. That is my best guess at what you have.

All of my 310 and TrueLine dies have threads - and I see none on these. Even the decap rods thread into the top of the die. These look to be a snap fit?

Wayne, we are talking about the Tru-Line and the Armory presses, not the little Tru-Line Junior.

Could these be some sort of cartridge length gauges used to measure the chamber length of a rifle for setting up the reloading press dies?

Oops, I goofed up. The top picture is the case mouth expander. The bottom I am not sure about, though it looks like the boolit seater.

I asked a buddy and he said armory press dies.
He has a few boxed armory presses with dies and knew what it was right away.

Yes, the Tru-Line and Armory use the same dies.

It's good that people post pictures of this stuff so it can be identified, rather than just thrown in the bottom of a catch-all junk box to be thrown out later by our heirs

Wow! I've heard of them but never seen one or a picture that I knew what it was until now.

Wayne, glad to help. There were articles in the Journal several years ago on using that press and the Armory press, along with finding a rare Marlin marked Armory and a very rare Armory sizing press and the No2 lubricating press. I can send them to you if you PM me your email address.
