I like new stuff as in completely different, out of a box, never seen that before type. Sometimes its good, sometimes its bad. Right now I would love to get my hands on the Alien from Laugo Arms. Not a design you will find anywhere else for sure. If its dependable I would get one just for the cool engineering factor.

Ruger decides that QUALITY is just as important (or more so) as QUANTITY!

Marlin does make a 44 cal barrel with a .429-.430 bore and 1 in 20" twist, but it's chambered for 444 Marlin. I sent Marlin customer service an e-mail asking for a similar barrel that would fit my 1894 so I could shoot the Lee 305gr cast bullet with the slightly concave wide nose in my rifle. The reply was only thanks and that the idea and reason would be sent up the corporate ladder.
Henry claims its box magaxzine precision model could be made in any caliber people wanted within head size limits. The description reads a lot like a Browning BLR with rotating bolt, box magazine and rack and pinion lever/bolt mechanism.
"Ruger decides that QUALITY is just as important (or more so) as QUANTITY!" Amen! And a few others that seem to think that close enough is close enough.
My dream -
I'd like to see RossiUSA introduce their new Customer Interaction Center. A team solely dedicated to interacting directly with customers. Answering the phones and emails! Dealing with service issues one-on-one to fix our guns. Listening one-on-one to our requests and suggestions.
Basically, tear down the wall that they have between them and us! It's like the door is locked and the doorbell doesn't work.
It probably wouldn't sell, but I've always thought that a solid bottom/no magazine small bolt action 9mm rifle would be handy as a step- up trainer rifle for kids and adults alike. Teach precision over leaving a pile of brass( or steel) on the ground the fastest. Heck, I'd buy one for Turkey hunting.

Even a lite weight 5.7x28 semi-auto rifle would make a good little garden gun.
Political correctness is a national suicide pact.

only to God and my own conscience.
Tex - got a Bob's single load mag for the BO (223 mag), really like it. Shove one in the slot, drop the bolt and fire. Lock back so just repeat! So a 9mm version gets you there.
Whatever!
Picture a Marlin 15Y, Remington 510 or 580 in 9mm. That's what I want. I could go AR type or stub a Topper( again), but I dont want to. Just a little blue steel and wood bolt action rifle.

Some bizarre discrepancy dating back to 1800's cartridges. Thankfully Henry has seen the light, and is now selling their rifles with .429" grooves and 1:20 twist barrels. Everyone else clings to the old .431" and 1:38" twist for no good reason.
I also want to see H&R to come back. It hasn't been sold as far as I know, so there is no reason it can't happen. Or maybe selling to a competent company would be the best thing.
One I wanted to add, and one I believe is coming sooner or later, is the Ruger GP100 in 41 magnum.
Of the common revolver manufacturers, meaning Ruger, S&W, Colt, Charter, I'm sure I'm forgetting some. Of all those, Ruger is putting out the highest quality handguns right now. You have to get into the $1000+ semi-custom guns to beat them. That's just my opinion, I keep buying Ruger, and I keep getting good ones.

Announcements I Wanted to Hear at the 2020 SHOT Show:
"CNN reports Andrew Cuomo falls into a running woodchipper."
"Nancy Pelosi sobers up, accidently sponsors bill benefiting Americans."
"scientists discover corona virus genetic package can be manipulated to cure pediatric leukemia"
"savage returns to manufacturing the 99 with a rotary magazine"
