    From what I understand its $250 for the bbl job. With all the low price guns out there that really shoot, sell or keep the 223 and put the $$ into a new gun. You can do what you want but Ruger makes the 350 legend rifle, Henry a single shot 357, 30-30, 308, 44 mag etc. CVA has the G2 357 for about $350 etc. If that gun shoots, pass it on to someone who will get some use out of it. That's just my pov. Good luck with what ever you decide.

    I would agree in that the low cost single shot rifles cost quite a bit less than trying to rebarrel and rechamber one. I would agree in that one should just keep it and buy another one in the caliber one wants instead.
