    Just picked up a 219 in 30-30. Shoots cast boolits quite well too. Gotta catch that brass before it gets ejected into the next county though.....

    The ejector is very probably the same in the rifle barrels as in the shotguns.

    I suppose that one could replace the spring with a softer one.

    (Might have been done with mine. It only tosses .30-30 brass a foot or two.)

    Think .30-30 is bad, my 219 in Hornet will launch them into orbit.

    I always open my hornet with the back of the barrel pointed at my chest. Keeps from chasing brass into the next county.

    +1 on the fire when open!! ALWAYS pull lever over when closing barrel, just like you would on a Perazzi or Kreigoff!! I love mine in Hornet. If you absolutely need more you can chamber to K-Hornet. Good luck, they are great little rifles.
