I took it to mean that someone died. Hence the "inherited" part.

When my dad dies, I will inherit some of the finest custom rifles ever built worth well north of $100k, and I will be profoundly sad about it.

Bingo. I'd trade all 3 for one more day of fishing with him.

Sorry, guess I'd forgot the handgun part while reminiscing acquisitions. The 911 in 380 or 9 but cant recall if the latest real 1911 came before. Would have to check receipts.

Picked up a RIA Ultra FS.45 ACP 1911. Have not shot it yet. Fit and finish is really good. Trigger is outstanding. Rear sight is screw adjustable for windage. Others speak very highly of them. For a sub $600 1911 so far I am impressed.

Picked up the new Glock Gen 5 G23 today.

First one on this side of the state.

    Can't wait to shoot it!

A nice little Blackhawk, .41 mag, 1970 mfg, then a day later I found a set of unused Steve Herritt grips, had the scope, rings & EGW bases. Good week. Now that makes two.Click image for larger version.

Just bought a Freedom arm m83 in 357 mag. Hasn't arrived to the FFL yet. I'm excited. Need to track down bullets or a mold for it now

Last bought a S&W 624 6.5" .44 Spl. It has the scariest SA trigger pull, maybe 1.5 lbs!

Last trade a Ruger 77 .243 for a S&W 629 full lugged barrel 5 inch. Heavy as heck but also .44 MAG!

It dawned on me that unless I die soon, I haven't yet bought my last gun. But last month I bought a Colt Huntsman!

I've gone a little crazy the last month or so.

Bought a P365, like it so well I sold my Springfield Hellcat the next day.
Ran across a decently priced P365XL and bought it too. I think I may prefer the standard P365, but we'll see.

Then my wife decided she wanted me to sell her M&P 22 Compact and get her a Taurus TX22. I gave her my FDE frames TX22 and bought one that has a green with black splatter frame. Need to drop of the little M&P 22 for consignment.

I bought a couple of shotguns too. A well used but not abused 870 Magnum Wingmaster, and a 1940 Winchester Model 12 solid rib in about the same condition. $250 for the Remington and $315 for the Winchester. Best price I've seen on either one in a long, long time.

The P365 was hailed as a game changer, and it really is. I love mine. Even though I just bought the Glock 23, I know I will rarely carry it since the P365 is so much more compact and comfortable to carry. First pistol that I've genuinely forgotten that it was on my belt. And with 12 rounds of 9mm that will do 2" at 25 yards while being totally controllable. I'm sad for folks that carry larger and heavier guns with less capacity and performance.

Customer brought this into the shop to see if I would sell it for him. Asked him how much, and after he told me I bought it on the spot.

Colt Frontier Scout, .22LR only, Q suffix s/n (dates 1958). I would put it at 90%+, normal wear on the muzzle and cylinder for a 62 year old gun. Bore and chambers are excellent to damn near factory condition. Grips (as you can see) show next to no wear.

This matches a F suffix Frontier Scout from 1958 that my Dad gave to me.

In the Spring (iirc) I bought a well used 4” 686 from a gent at the gun club. One of my grail guns. I believe I am the third owner. My other grail gun is a 4” 66. I could have bought 2”, 3”, or 6” model 66 guns or any thing locks.

Now I have a hankering for a S&W .32 model 16. Yea I know, its now out of production.
