It has been a couple years since I bought my last handgun I had been looking for a S&W model 28 like one I stupidly swapped off for a Ruger Security six S.S. when they first came out . I ended up with a Taurus Model 608 8 shot .357 magnum and love it! The only gripe I have with the gun is the six ports They really increase the muzzle blast .

P.S. Thinking about it about the same time I got a Pietta Colt 44 Replica it is a very nice muzzle loading pistol.
When I think back on all the **** I learned in high school it's a wonder I can think at all ! And then my lack of education hasn't hurt me none I can read the writing on the wall.

just purchased a 1945 made Colt 1911A1. Great shape, 100% correct, but the prices have escalated. I just hope this investment pays off.

Just ordered a Super Wrangler in black. Seemed like a heck of a deal for the money. Twin cylinders and adjustable sights.

Being the cheap one, my most recent is a Sterling 302 in 22LR. Needs a magazine and safety plunger, but is solid and fairly smooth otherwise. What can I say, I like my vest pocket pistols...

It's been a cpl of months now, but I finally found one of Springfield's SA-35's....the Browning Hi Power look-a-like... but our local emporium: KY Gun Co. wouldn't move a nickel on the MSRP however.

Getting it home and cleaned up, the fit and function were at least as good as my two Browning HP's in 9mm and .40 S&W. Accuracy was better than either with groups less than 2.5" at 25 yds with non-tweaked handloads. Best of all, it's got the best new gun trigger I've run across in a decade.

Reliability, right out of the box, has been 100%, through my present total of 716 rounds: of American Eagle FMJ's, and handloads with Missouri Bullet Co's 124 conical and LSWC lead alloy bullets. I've also run JHP's by Remington, Winchester, Speer GD, and Montana Gold through it. In ~60 yrs of handgun shooting, it's been the most reliable auto I've ever owned. Not a single bobble.....716 rounds....outstanding!

I like it a lot, and have been carrying it here on our farm for daily plinking sessions etc. It's worked out very well indeed for me and Springfield seems to be ramping up production. It's worth a look-see if you're in the market for a 15 round, all steel, quality 9mm. Here's mine with a replacement set of Hogue grips on it....Best Regards, Rod

A friend at the local gun show made me a super price on this 25-2. My S&W weakness must have been showing.Attachment 319664Attachment 319665

1851 Navy Colt made in 1973. I guess that makes it a 2nd Gen. Next to no use it looks like. No cap size I have fits it. They all fall off. CCI#10's, CCi #11's, RWS1075's (or is it 1095?) anyway... Winchester's #11, Remington #10's. The nipples got replaced. Happy!

    Hi...
Not sure if I posted about my most recent handgun acquisition but earlier this year I bought a new to me blued Virginian Dragoon in. 357Magnum with a 5-1/2" barrel.
Didn't need another .357Magnum but I have this thing about Virginian Dragoon revolvers, so I really couldn't resist.
I already have two Virginian Dragoons in .44Magnum, so now they have a little brother.
It is in really good condition and shoots quite accurately out to 25yds on steel plates the few times I have shot it.
Really need to hang some paper targets and see just how well it will group with a few loads.

Helloooo...it's me again! I have a life long friend that has had my back for about 65 yrs and he can't get out a lot now. He told me that he would really like to have a K-22 to plink around his place with so I gave him my K-22 (pre-17). Well... a guy has to have a 22 pistol or 2, right?? Goingbroker found me a Ruger MK IV Target at a reasonable price and it should be here Saturday.

My lasted purchase is a Tisas 1911 9mm carry (commander size). It shoots as well as any of my other 1911s at a much lower price.

Still wait at LGS , finally have all my paperwork issues straight ( long story).

2023 Ruger Super Blackhawk Hunter in .44mag.

In a small LGS where everybody knows everybody;, the Original owner special ordered it , had it just long enough to sight it in , and had to sell it for unexpected family expenses. Si I'm pucking up ANIB for almost $400 off MSRP .
