To get the heat out quick, a hydrogel dressing, like Spenco moist burn pads, are excellent to relieve pain in the burn area and provide moisture. After the initial application of hydrogel, Slivadine cream is your friend, it has been mentioned before. There is nothing better! Some MDs are really cool and will write you a Rx for it for your first aide kit.
Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H.L. Mencken

The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naïve and usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched. He is not a bad citizen turning to crime; he is a good citizen driven to despair.― H.L. Mencken

A molten metal burn is a little different Than others. The molten metal teds to stick to the skin and burn deeper as it cools. It also tends to hold the heat there longer. Molten metal burns deeper so care is important. Cold water on it immediately and an ice pack. Silva dine is very good once cooled out and cleaned. Then keep it clean and covered.

I don’t know about using it for burns, but it worked great when I broke my arm.

I heard of a case of a very serious burn from deep frying a turkey, that is almost as bad as molten lead.

Accidents truly SUCK, please avoid them.

had a 1" by 1/2" burn on my thumb. Kept it covered with furacin and clean bandages. It slowly got smaller and left a nasty scar that is gone after several years. Still shows up when my hands get sunburnt.
