Nice 14-4 and 15-3 Smith's. Hard to walk away.

I saw a really nice 14-4 6" 3Ts today with original box. Barely a turn line on the cylinder. Shop also had a 15-3 in really good condition. Prices were around $600 +/-. I really like the pinned barrel Smiths.

    I just love the old 14/15s I have a 15-1 With target trigger 4" 38 Spec....Probably my 2nd favorite Smith after my 19-3 6" 357
But The 19 doesn't get shot a lot because it is pristine but the 15 is just so much more shootable and carry-able

Watch Gunbroker diligently. I did and got this Model 15 for $285! Super happy with it.

That's not gloating, that's making others aware of deals to be had.

That is probably a good price for a 14 with box. My trouble is I would shoot it for a couple of decades instead of going the safe route.

That 14-4, in stated condition, would be a screaming deal around here. I would have owned it.

    The 15-3 is about right.

Got my 15-1 on GB too! $365 if I remember correctly : when it arrived I was delighted because it was way nicer then I thought it would be!

If you do your sellers research you find some guys that really under rate the quality of their items! I bought 3 S&W this way and they were all better than described!

A guy bragging about the quality of his item for sale puts up a red flag for me! ( yes I did buy a few of those and was never happy ! Sold them off for a loss)

I traded for a model 15 today, very happy with the trade. On the lookout for a nice model 14.

I wrestle with picking up a Model 14. On one hand, it wouldn't do anything my 6" model 66 doesn't do already, since I shoot almost exclusively .38 wadcutter loads. But, they are just soooo nice looking!

I feel that shooting a 14 regularly with mild loads keeps my overall revolver shooting in good shape.

I only have one 15 and don't shoot it very much. I have two m14s, one unfired in original box with docs, tools, ect. The other is in very high condition and has shot thousands of target WC loads. The price on S&W blue revolvers is catching up on some models. 5 yrs ago m14, m19-6" and 28-6" were good buys. Other than NIB P&R era guns the bubble has been reached on S&Ws.
