Sneeze too hard and it might blow away! How's balance for offhand shots? How does she do off of a backpack? Does it string shots? What is your cool down regimen? I was just telling my disinterested wife about the difference between a hunting rifle (cold bore shot placement) and a target rifle (warm bore repeatability).

Balance I find ok, can’t pull down on the sling have to keep your mitt on the forearm and off the pack I find draping my left arm over the barrel works the best. Yup it will lift the third shot a bit from the two touching initial shots.
Good part is first shot is dead nutz every time along with the second and 3/4 to 1” up on the third if rapid fire, at the range after a shot I leave the rifle vertical in the stand with the bolt open and go thru the rotation of my other hardware, then there is no stringing.
Happy with it, my initial was a bit sobering as it is a bit fussy on bullet weights (165gr) , jump and some max loads....

Those are nice rifles so far as I've read. I've held some but never had the pleasure of ownership. I have not yet been able to justify the expense as my mountains here are less prominent and less remote. Nice to see stainless/composite on Cast Boolits though. Thank you for sharing.

I have the exact same rifle and it isn't the least bit finicky. Honestly Lloyd, I really wanted a .338 federal since I have a couple .308s and 7-08s already. Not because I needed it, I just wanted it.

Oh man I’ve been wanting one of those. I’ve just got too many rifles as is. All of my Kimbers have been shooters. That includes:
1. Longmaster 308 Win
2. Open Country 6.5 CM which I just sold
3. Varmint 22-250

The OC was duplicated once I got my custom built on a defiance action and proof barrel. So down the road it went to free up more fun money
