    newbee mold help

    Hi,I'm needing help picking my 1st. mold,I've been using Suter's Choice bullets .45colt 250gr.round nose f.p. sized .452 and have had good success with them,can you help me pick a mold that is close to those bullets,not sure if it matters but i will be using a lyman 4500 lube-sizer. thanks

    Sounds like the Lyman 454190, which is the std boolit for the .45 Colt
    in the original factory and many current factory "cowboy" loads.

    Go to castpix and then to Molds (on left) and then to Lyman Molds, and
    then pick the correct page for 454190 and see if it looks like your good boolit.

    If so, Midsouth Shooters Supply carries most Lyman molds at good prices.

    Don't overlook Saeco #954 a 230 gr rnfp or the #955 a 26 rnfp, I use the 955 myself and love it

    If volume is a consideration, you may want to consider a six cavity Lee mold. They sell a .452-255-RF that should fit your needs. I use it with very good results. And it will be cheaper than a Lyman as well. Of course the Lyman 454190 already recommended is a great choice as well. +1 for midsouth and their prices on Lyman molds. They would also be a good source for the Lee mold.
