    For sale—-Savage 99 in 300 Savage flavor

    Thinning the herd a little, this is an excellent rifle I adopted from my father’s collection. I don’t hunt anymore and I don’t think it’s been out of the safe for three years. Metal is great with no scratches or bluing loss, the bluing is excellent. Color case hardening on lever is awesome! Bore looks new...bright and shiny, this rifle has not seen much use at all. The wood looks good with no dings or scrapes. Metal checkered buttplate. Serial number dates it to 1953. The scope is a vintage weaver El Paso (4x I think). $750 (no PayPal sorry) shipped to your FFL from an individual.     are the iron sights still on this rifle and is there a price for rifle only no scope??

    The irons are on it but I’d like to sell it all together since I don’t have a use for the scope. I’m not sure but I think the barrel is 25” I’ll check tomorrow
