I have a CVA Scout chambered in 45/70. The trigger pull is ok but I would like to smooth it out. Not looking to lower the trigger pull, just make it smooth.
Has anyone worked on a CVA Scout trigger?

The trigger is usually the bast feature of the CVA Scout rifles. I have one and the trigger pull is first class and everyone that I have heard comment on them has raved about the great triggers strait from the box.
So I can't give you any help on disassembly or what's involved. I own a lot of other break action guns that I have worked on the trigger but the Scout is not one of them.

B 4 fiddling with the trigger, I would first determine if it was formed via the MIM (metal injecting molding) process or not - since AFAIK, MIM parts don't take kindly to stoning/smoothing very well.

Now I lay me down to sleep
A gun beside me is what I keep
If I awake, and you're inside
The coroner's van is your next ride
I want to thank you Jedman, and pietro for your comments. I appreciate any information I receive.
