Hollywood Gun Shop SENIOR TURRET Reloading Press 8 Position

I found one of these for auction on evilbay.
I've always wondered how the turret turns????
There seems to be a guide rod attached to the turret.
It looks like it would keep the turret from turning.
It has 3 handles that look like they are used to turn it.

It’s understandable that you are confused. The vertical bar, aka, swage bar, tie rod, etc, is only installed to do heavy duty single stage type jobs such as swaging or resizing monster brass.

For regular loading the rod is removed. Then the turret freely spins to any desired station. It’s a very smooth operating press and easy to use as a semi progressive system or for single stage batch loading.
