I've had one since the summer. Runs great with cast. Surprisingly accurate too!

Lot of gun for the money.

I have an RIA 1911 in 9mm and it eats anything provided the proper magazines are used. Mine will only run 100% with Wilson Combat magazines. With others, the first cartridge or two nose dive jams.
When using the Wilson mags it runs flawless.

There is a sticky at the top of the Wheelguns forum about loading cast in 9mm.
It usually isn't difficult, or at least it hasn't been for me. Just pay attention to details like always.
My RIA 9mm shoots cast fine.

Awhile ago. I bought a "Kimber Custom 2" 1911 in 9mm and other then the barrel needing throating it is flawless and affordable. It came with a plastic mainspring housing which for 10 or 15 dollars a steel one can be installed. Very nice pistol and thinking I bought it brand new for around 600 dollars.

Loading the 9mm is just easy as 45 auto. They both never have offered me any resistance at all.

I have one in 45 and in 38 super, and both have only shot cast. Both are accurate and I really like shooting them. One in 9mm is on my wish list.

I'd LOVE to have one in 10mm, but the list ahead of it is long.

Just don't get your bullets too hard or too small. I am not a 9mm guy but do feed a S&W39, an Astra and a Slovak pistol carbine. The 9 loads like any other cartridge.
To paraphrase Ronald Reagan, the trouble with many shooting experts is not that they're ignorant; its just that they know so much that isn't so.

I don't have any idea what the accuracy needs are for steel shooting. Not a game I ever played.
I own a Rock Ultra FS in 9mm. It is very nearly as accurate as my Springfield Range Officer. If your targets are man sized silhouettes at any range under 25 yards, this pistol will do it.

Do these have a scaled down frame for the 9mm or same size as the 45 ?
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

Same as the 45. Nothing changed but the barrel and a few springs. It is actually just a touch heavier than the 45 model due to a smaller hole in the barrel.
