I have a little .25 automatic pistol that I have had since a teenager, I'm 69 now.
I purchased it from a dubious friend that trafficked in such articles (another story for another time).
I paid $20 for it. ($15 for the owner and $5 "finders fee" for my dubious friend).
It was missing the striker gismo. Being an industrious lad I fashioned a replacement out of an antique key.
Fired a few rounds before the tip broke off of my makeshift striker.
Ended up soldering a piece of a small nail on my "striker" to repair it, oh yes, I wound my own spring out of piano wire and made a guide from a small nail.
I had no guides, no internet, just a teenagers ingenuity.
I still have that little pistol with the same makeshift striker assembly, never fired since my teenage years.
Funny thing is I have never really identified this pistol, on the left side of the slide is the following.
"BREV-1922" then in an oval is "IAAG=Rr" then "PATENT"
I have never found any information on it or a picture of it anywhere.
