Friend moved to Clarksville last year.
Said he can't find a range to shoot at for free down there.
Is there a place?????
We have only one place to shoot here.
Besides the bases.
It's run by the city and is a park, so it's free.

most shooting ranges in Tennessee are private/club. You can find someone that has land outside of town, but that takes time. Best thing to do is join a range. Midshouthshootersupply.com is in Clarksville +1 good people!!!!

If he was round here I'd offer him my range.
Have him google Jones Keeny gun range. It’s in Caldwell co Ky. Which is about 1- 1 1/4 hrs from Clarksville Tn.
Thank you
I have sent him an email.
Plus one on Midsouthshooterssupply! Cheatham WMA has a range which is probably within an hour of him and far as I know is free. TWRA website will have info.
I shoot clay targets and teach quite a bit at Cross Creek Clays, just across the river in Palmyra. A world class facility if he wants to shoot Sporting Clays with a shotgun.
Good Luck to him,
Rick
If he hasn't already found it tell him about Johnny's big burger on College street. One of the best greasy cheeseburgers I've had in a looooong time. Tell him to be extra hungry if he orders the double!
I'd think someone that lives there close would invite him to the farm.

Unfortunately Bazoo they don’t let most people shoot on their farms. Don’t get access to a farm unless you pay a nice premium on a hunt lease.
Adam.
Didn't LBL have one?

Omega they did. But I have not been there since they moved the road and hear redid it. Plus I believe is a pay range.
I don't know how I forgot to mention in my previous post Montgomery County Shooting Complex. It is not free but if I recall one can either purchase an annual membership or pay a reasonable daily fee. It is a nice facility offering handgun and rifle up to 400 yards or so? Small pro-shop with ammo, targets, hearing protection, snacks, and some things I've forgotten I'm sure. A few friends of mine donated the real estate about 10 years ago and it is run by the Tennessee Wildlife Resources Federation. It is within about a half hour drive from most anywhere he could live in Clarksville.
Hope this helps,
Rick
I used to live in Knoxville. According to the TWRA, their ranges are available for a fee by the hour, or with an annual permit, or they are free with possession of a TN hunting license.
