    Backpack Henry .44

My backpack Henry lever that accompanies the Wife and I on walks but really it's true purpose is winning cash from the kids during plinking contests. Thank goodness for hand loading or it would be cost prohibitive with the .44 and as soon as I sort out a cast load for the 'Ol 38-55 I'll be turning to this little rig.
I was surprised with the accuracy of this little 30.5" rig......

Looks really nice! I bought my dad a Henry, 45-70 Wild life edition. For chirstmas. I have yet to shoot it. Its also the first henry we've owned. Hopefully they live up to the hype!

Looks like a mares leg that's been SBR'd. Would make a great lil back pack set up though. I think I saw Iraqveteran8888 with one on YouTube

12.9” barrel, it’s a Mares Leg with a full buttstock. Perfectly legal to do in Kanuckastian and as our second home is located in TX we always get some raised eyebrows when I show a pic...... lmao
Goofy laws on either side of the line!

Here’s a Rossi Ranch Hand that I did several years ago:

I got the Ranch Hand in trade for something (can’t remember) so I essentially got it for free.

I really had no use for it in its “handgun” form so I filed the paperwork with the ATF, waited for the approval and made it a “Short Barreled Rifle” by adding a Boyd’s finished stock.

While waiting on the ATF to do its business I had the barrel threaded .578X28 for my .45 suppressor which I already had.

In its suppressed format it’s quite impressive reference how quiet it can be.

WAY better than a Mare’s leg! Personally I love it. Original Winchester Trappers had 14” barrels before the NFA stopped all gun crime in this country.... oh wait that was GCA 68... never mind. You leave it in Canada, no?

Oh Yes, it stays in Kanada in my Liberty safe in an secure room on the ranch. Kids love house / dog sitting.

Thanks for the answer and I agree the whole SNR thing is so ridiculous considering the AR pistols these days and honestly any handgun. I want badly to have an SBR but the effort to get through the ATF is mind numbing.

I'm surprised no one has invented an "arm brace" for the Mare's Leg yet!
