Was real good in the .22-250. It seems to me it was close in burn rate to 4064 and would therefore be real good in medium size rifle cartridges.

It was originally a 3006 military powder. WC852 non flattened ball. It will work in everything you listed, I like it in the 8mm also.

It was a darling in my brothers .284 winchester. He ran out in August and we could not find it anymore.

Excellent also for 223 Rem-- just slightly slower burning than CFE 223

If they are phasing out H380 then Bruce Hodgdon will be turning over in his grave!

I bought some from bullets.com when they were closing their powder out for something like $12 pound. Bought several pounds but have not used any yet. Too good a deal to pass up and I'm hoping to use it all some day. Looks like bullets.com is no longer in business??

As of this morning, 12/30/2019, Hodgdon H380 is not discontinued. This comes via telephone call to them. However, because they have released several new powders recently, they claim that sales of some of the older stuff have declined in favor of the new. Apparently some internet vendors are not going to carry the older powders?

I hope the internet gossip-mongers don't start a run on this powder because of a crisis that doesn't exist...

I got my top velocities in my 22-250 and light bullets with H380. But, I found it left a lot of "soot" in my barrel. So, I kind of quit using it because 4895 and a heavier bullet was as accurate and I could shoot longer without cleaning the bore.
