    It's been a long time!

I cast my first boolits (I can now spell it that way cause I've done it) in over 34 years and they came out great. I would like to thank everyone here who has had to put up with my amateur questions, but they have have paid off here are my first batch of Lee 125 FPRN. They are very hard since it was the metal that was in the pot. My thumb nail won't leave a mark. The average weight is 124.6 after weighing 10 random boolits.Click image for larger version.

Congratulations on your return to the addiction. Looks like you are off to a good start.
It is never more satisfying than when you make the ammunition yourself.

I have been told that the meat you take with a boolit you make tastes better.

Wrapping my brain around the possibilities...you cast your first boolits over a period of 34 YEARS ?

JK. jk. They look great. Give them the "pencil hardness" test for an easy solution to the Brinell Hardness Number (Bhn).
If it was easy, anybody could do it.

ACC, believe me, we don't mind questions 1 bit. A lot of us who have been at it a long while still have questions too. Those boolits are good looking work for sure. Let us know how they shoot. Are you going to powder coat or lube?
IT AINT what ya shoot--its how ya shoot it. NONE of us are as smart as ALL of us!

It looks like you are off to a good start. Glad that we could assist! Those look good. Most of us don't mind answering questions, even those that are ask pretty often. After all, its a discussion forum!

ACC, I just started this year also and have to agree that without these good folks help I wouldn't have been as successful as I was. They made a big difference.
