Lots of these molds left for anyone needing to cast their ingots, and stack them up...

I've been using these since the first round of Cast Boolits imprint. Bought 2 more not long ago. They work great. I buy a cheap vice grips knock off from Horrible Freight for each one. Gives me a good handle that I can clamp on and leave. My grip is not too good anymore and that lets me handle them easily. Lakehouse made this happen and I suspect he has a lot of his own $'s invested that he'd like to recover!

I normally smelt about 50 pounds at a go and then pour into the old cast iron corn ear bread moulds. The moulds are all lined up on a pair of home made 6" channel iron saw horses to quickly draw heat out. When i am done a couple of taps face down and they ears fall out. Will the upside down tap on the concrete floor cause harm to this mould? PS, I don't beat the crap out of them mould, have not broken a single cast iron in 25 years.

    Hi Matt,

These molds are tougher than they look, the aluminum I used is very durable at temperature. Using channel locks if you let them cool for even a few minutes after you pour, the 7 degree draft I put on the side-walls, the ingots fall right out by just flipping them over with the channel locks. Cast iron is nice, but these are better IMO
