Unfortunately, according the HF headquarters, red is gone, so is yellow, so you have a choice of white or black. Talked to them today about something else.

I've been using HF Red for years. I didn't know about them discontinuing it until yesterday when I went to 2 different stores, and they didn't even have shelf space for the red. I talked to the manager, and he said they will no longer have it.

Oh, well. I've been wanting to try a different color for a while, so here's my chance. HF Red was so cheap, and I never had a problem Tupperware tumbling it.

I just ordered Eastwood's 'Super durable wet black' $15 on ePay with shipping.

Anything coats better than HF! But yes Eastwood coats well. Don't take any short cuts. Shake for at least a minute or 2 in all directions. Coat your fingers while wearing nitrile gloves when pulling out and you won't end up with any bare spots.

If You want to use Eastwood Powders Their "Light Ford Blue" is excellent I like it but Smokes Clear is my go to for ease of use ....slick coating and Cast bullets looking like cast bullets except shiny!

Since HF no longer carries Red powder I would stay away from the black & white as they have always been poor. The red would cover, but it took two coats if you were fighting humidity, but since it is no longer stocked it is a non-issue. There are so many better powders available. I would suggest you start with a good powder that is proven to work and that is the reason I recommend Smoke's powders.

If you are wanting to order from a big company I recommend Prismatic Powder and stick with the solid colors, there are about a thousand. Blues, Greens, Purples, Blacks all tend to coat well using the shake & bake method. A polyester based powder is about the best of bullets. Now through January 27 Prismatic will ship 6 pounds of powder for free using promo code "ordernow". They sell powder by the pound, one or a hundred it makes no difference.

HELP!

I tried 'shake and baking' Eastwood Mirror Black, and I didn't get good coverage. Then I tried the vibrating tumbler, but it just doesn't seem to stick very well.

30 seconds of shaking HF Red in a #5 Tupperware used to make a perfect bullets. I feel like a newby now, but I've been using HF Red for years with GREAT results.
