Any one have one?
What calibers and how do they do with Cast?
I have wanted one for a while and my dealer has one that came in used.
22 Hornet and 243 calibers. Might have a 300 Win Mag. Its a mag action.
Help me decide.

Hornet.
Those have always seemed like interesting rifles, you don't see them often, though.
I had one years ago in 222 Sporter weight bbl. It shot great but I didn't appreciate it fo what it was. I thought everything had to be a bull bbl. I still miss that gun. Not sure if it's stronger but the build quality is much better than the Encore.
Only problem is I believe, is that there aren't any parts available. I bought one from Cabelas, but didn't try it out for a few months. Wouldn't fire except for once every 20 tries. Pulled it apart and can't figure out whats wrong.
My other one, I haven't shot cast thru any of the barrels.
I picked one up recently, though I haven't done much with it. The one comment I read regarding the long 'reach' from to the trigger holds true in my case. Hands just aren't big enough I guess. Presently have the .22 Hornet, .223, 22-250 & 30-06 barrels.

Hornet is awesome in mine. I bought it as soon as they came out. Had a 243, 223 then got the Hornet. I would leave the Mag alone, kinda defeats the best features of the little stalking rifle. I didn’t care for the 243, but no remembrance of why. Neat rifles, I would love a 32-40 barrel!

Mine has 338 WM and .222 barrels. The 338 WM loves cast. The Lee mold boolits are not stable below 1650 but those from an NOE mold are good down to 1500 fps and is gallon-paint-bucket accurate out to 700 yards. The TCR's are great rifles. I wish I had gotten an extra one with the double set triggers when I had the chance.
A friend had a DST model .223, an early 4 digitSN. It was beautiful and a delight to carry. He loaned it to a friends son who killed a buck and doe with it. It wasn't a tack driver but it was nice.

Was on state game lands rifle range and met an older gent who had one in 32-40. He shot my Garand I shot his in 32-40. I think both of us were thinking the same thing when we got done. Swap rifles. But that didn't happen. Frank
