I had one of those Featherweights in 7x57 back in the eighties, wish I still had it. That was the only Model 70 stock that ever felt right to me, all the rest seemed to magnify recoil somehow.

I finally bought an ugly synthetic stocked rifle. When CDNN sold Winchester XPRs for $275, I bought one in 30-06. 5 Hornady roung nose 180 gr bullets made a ragged hole off sandbag rests at 100 meters in our indoor rifle range. :<)
