The meades are a good scope reasonably priced and work very well but most of these astronomical scopes require a lense under the eyepiece to reverse the image to normal. the mirror scopes are good but reverse the image in the mirrors. These scopes also have the advantage of using commonly available telescope eyepieces

I lucked into a Zeiss Diascope for $ 500 and a Leupold spotting scope it is straight with the option of going angled for $900.00 I do both long range BPCR and hunt, nothing has served me better. Long hours of spotting game the straight is more comfortable with better clarity.I would pay full price for this scope if I had to replace it.

I’ve been using an angled Kiowa for almost 30 years. I bought a fold up stand from Champions Choice at the same time . With a 12” rod it is a very secure set up, unlike a tripod.
