    Ruger American Ranch?

Does anyone know if Ruger ever offered the American Ranch in .222 Remington?

Maybe as a special run for some distributor, or where to get a chambered barrel?

    Thanks,

I’m pretty sure the answer is no. However several custom barrel makers sell pre-fit barrels for the Ruger American.

It should be easy enough to shorten and rechamber the breech end and extend the threads if necessary. I seem to remember hearing of .222 Mini14's for countries with military cartridge restrictions. It's a possibility for the European market where the .222 Rem. Is still popular. I'm speculating.

The Ruger American Ranch is a bolt gun. (NO, this was never offered in 222 Rem)

The Ruger Ranch is a mini-14.(YES, this was offered in 222Rem)

Just to be clear your asking about the Bolt Gun.

Its surely possible someone commissioned a 222.

Maybe a call to Ruger would shed most light for you. Closest I know of is a 223/556 chambering.

NOPE. I don't think it would even be considered today. I don't think anyone chambers a factory rifle for it today. Not even Remington. 223 about made it obsolete
