    Question

I had a falling out with my Lyman 4500 and decided to try something different. I took a piece of White Label carnuba blue and melted it on my hotplate. Added about a tablespoon of STP and a little mineral spirits. The result is a hard paste. I added some bullets to my tumble lube container, got the hairdryer and heated them. Then added about a pea size lump of the blue goop and continued heating. After tumble lubing and letting them dry, they are not very sticky at all. They did not lead with 13 grains of red dot in a 30-06, seemed to be as accurate as the ones from the Lyman with carnuba blue. Any one else ever try to tumble lube with a lube such as this. Weather is now limiting my shooting, so not sure what will happen with an increase in velocity.

The only draw back I've found with petroleum products in lube is they stink & smoke when you fire them.
