    Daughter's first deer

Baby Girl's first deer 77/357 Lee 358-158rf over 2400. Between 100 and 110 yards passed through both lungs and kept going. Deer went about 10 yards and was down. She and I both were very excited.

That's great! That one will eat real good! I had my oldest daughter hunting til she was 12 and her friends told her it wasn't cool. Now she's 36 and think's it's cool again.

Happy, happy, happy! The is the first of many deer for this young lady!

That Lee boolit is my favorite for .357 caliber. Wish Lee made a .44 @ about 250gr with the same big meplat. (No, I don't want or like 300+ gr boolits in .44)

@Hickok, I have a Ranch Dog 265gr mold from NOE for my 1894 44 Magnum. I've yet to cast any for it yet unfortunately. I did take two large doses with it this year though.

Neither of my daughters were interested in hunting, not into the outdoors at all. Now my Granddaughter just turned 15 and has taken several deer and an antelope buck. Her first one was at about 9 years old.

I'm stunned. Everyone knows a 357 isn't near enough for a deer and cast just won't work

Congrats to you both and her smile reminds me of the grin I had when I shot my first deer. It was a doe but might as well have been a 10pt B&C to me. Your raising that young lady right
