    A visit with Beagle

On my way home from Ohio yesterday I made a detour to visit with beagle and meet him face to face for the first time. It was a very worthwhile trip as we talked for about an hour and I came home with some bullets and gas checks he wants me to try and a bunch of lead to get ready for next year’s North-South Skirmish events next year. Beagle is the real deal (as many here know already) and has the ability to step out of his shop and actually try out the rounds he loads. We shooters can be a very simpatico bunch and although he and I had been acquainted via this forum for several years, but there is no substitute for a real face to face!

That's the truth, and he was one of the original members of this site. Glad you enjoyed your visit with him!

Unfortunately, the weather didn't cooperate with us as it was windy and cool and not conducive to enjoyable shooting and I had a flooring project going down the next day. Still a good meeting and allowed me to unload some soft lead to a good cause as I would never use it.

Always an opportunity to spread a few of your favorite cast designs around as well.

Met with a few guys over the years from the site and yes, it's a pleasure meeting face to face and swapping yarns and experiences. Most of us are getting up there in....experience, and it's hard to get around to gatherings. Really use to enjoy the high power matches in my younger days before the internet when that's about all the interface you had with other shooters of like interests./beagle

Mrs Sundog and I had the great privilege to have dinner with Mrs Beagle and our host, beagle, who took us to a fine restaurant for dinner. That was in early April. We had a great visit.

Meeting people on this board is always an honor.
