WTB: Marlin model 1889 firing pin

Hello all, I am in need of a firing pin for my Marlin 1889 in 44-40. I have checked all the usual (and some unusual) gun parts places no go. If anyone has one and would be willing to part with it, I am interested. Thank you.

Most of the tanks are gone and the windows don't rattle anymore. I won't be able to sleep now.

Bob's Gun Shop lists them in on-line catalog (have to call to check if they really have one, though) at $50.

Two of my 1889s had broken firing pins , I ordered 3 from Wisners (1 extra). Both broken were in 32-20s. Not sure if this is a fickle nature of the beast but thought an extra wouldn't hurt to have around.

Wisner is currently out of stock with no projected completion times. Bobs doesn’t seem to let you call them and they have not responded to two emails. Thanks for the input guys. Keep it coming.

I haven’t looked, but guncorp in Kingston, NY might have one.

Jack First gunshop in South Dakota, (Rapid City?) might be worth a try.
Good luck! Hope you find one,

You may be at the point of needing a new one turned.
I know several vintage-gun / cowboy gunsmiths who would make new tool steel replacement pins. Will be more expensive than the used prices. If interested, drop me a PM and I'll get you some contacts.

    Good luck, garrisonjoe
