Elvis ammo on youtube is getting great results. And I have purchased it for my .223 and 6.5 Creedmoor. It is a nice slow powder that is cool burning. Saves the barrel.
Almost identical to hodgdon blc2 powder.

    It’s a great powder in the .35Rem, 250/3000, and .35 Whelen.

Great powder with many uses. Good to have in un certain supply times. I does get a bad rap on temperature sensitivity.

Iam going to use it in my 30/06 150 gr Hornady fmj load soon. Just loaded 40 up with imr 4350 with 180 gr soft points and a old box of browning round nose soft points. Box looks old. Don’t know the age got them gave to me.

For some reason I never tried it until a few years ago when I got my first AR15. It worked great in the 5.56 and in my nephew's. 308 FN, but really shined with cast in 30-30 Win. Its on my "good powder list" for sure.

I use it in .223/5.56, 30-30 and .308 Win. Been using it since 1979 and currently have one open and one unopened can. It's a favorite powder in those calibers.

I shot my smallest groups in a Rem. 700 ADL in .308 using WW748. I shot several groups under 1/2" @ 100yds. I was using 168 match bullet.

I use W748 with excellent results in 223 Rem, 30-30W, 308W, and 7x30 Waters. I think it's probably the best powder for most medium sized cartridges, and it really shines in the 223.

I had good results with Varget but because it looks identical to H4350, I looked for and found W748 as a substitute. Part of my reasons for choosing it was for cast for its apparently slower pressure rise time and being ball, it doesn't peen the naked boolit bases. I like it and now hearing you folks, I think I'll pursue it some more with cast (which includes paper patching). I also have some BLC2 which I thought I could use up as a substitute for 748 before buying more 748.

.303Guy, are you using 748 as a reduced cast load or full chat? I used it in a custom wildcat round my mate invented in 1974 .30/222 Martini Target rifle. Meters brilliantly and filled the case to the Bottom of the neck, about 2000fps .Thinking of trying cast G/c with the same loadings. From memory 25gns behind a 168gBT 27g 155gBT. Went Sub MOA @ 200yds.Only neg. is cost, much dearer than ADI powders here in Aus.

    Cheers Mal in au.
