    Broken hand ruger single six

I had the hand on a ruger single six break when cocking it. It broke at the base where the pin is, sheared it off. Any ideas as to why? Is it a drop in replacement part? It is the 32 magnum version.

It may need some fitting in order to engage the ratchet and turn the cylinder properly.

That's a pretty good size pin- you must have felt some resistance?

I didn’t even notice it until I pulled the trigger and the hammer only went part way forward.

the whole issue beyond it will need some fitting, is that ruger wont just send out parts. they want guns sent in to them.

Warranty? They should fix it! Contact them and see what they say.
