    Winchester 1894 .32 Special with smokeless sight

    Well, as I posted earlier, I snagged a Winchester 1894 in .32 Special with the smokeless sight and a couple other special order features, it has a half magazine as well as a factory rubber shotgun style butt plate. The rifling is excellent. I wasn't going to get another 1894 but I decided if I wanted one, I wanted one with the sight being they're not all that common. Apparently Winchester stopped putting the sight on these guns in 1915, this one was made in 1908. The other special order features also made it appealing and the shop threw in some ammunition. It's too late in the season to hunt with it but next season it should make an appearance.

    not sure if I have seen one before with the metal tip on the forehand.. very cool....

    Nice looking old Winchester. I don't have the rifle but do have the Winchester rear sight. I've oftentimes wondered what timeframe it came from.

    yep you got a good one in all my years of collecting Winchesters I have seen 2 with that sight. o own one it is a round barrel full mag.

    My buddy has 1/2 mag 94 in 30/30 but his doesn't have shotgun butt or that sight. His dates from early 1920s.
    I have a pair of 55s with 1/2mags but they have standard butts and sights both from 1930s.

    that sight was on ,32 spl. rifles only. way back when I started looking at Winchesters a friend told me to buy 94's that they were the most over looked rifles. and that is what I did.
