    Throating a barrel...

I am having some difficulties chambering large enough bullets...

Mostly 35 calibers that are re chambers. So my assumption is short leade but I have not made chamber casts yet.

LBT/ Ranch Dog style cast bullets are giving troubles chambering. Also my beloved 359009 cannot be used powdercoated.

I once had a 38/55 that needed 379/380 dia for bore but would not chamber them. I rented a throating reamer and foxed it! It was a H&R classic. Was real good shooter afterwards. Using an ext I ran it into my Marlin Cowboy. But very very little needed removed. The H&R produced shavings. I made a stop collar.

Im wondering what has been done by others to solve this issue.

Help, Suggestions & Comments and mostly experience is most appreciated.

I have several throating reamers from PTG. A stop collar will keep you from going too far. I use a lathe.
