    Weaver A28 Rimfire Scope

I am trying to help a friend adjust an old Weaver A2.8 scope on his Dad's old Marlin 22. Can't seem to find any information on the scope. Does anyone have any information on this scope? Thanks in advance for any help.

No mysteries; they adjust like every other scope and the turrets should be marked.

Wrong guess. It does not have your normal turrets and there are no marks.

Does it have turrets? What type? If it does have some type of turrets you could use a grid style bore sighter and watch thru the scope as you turn the turrets to determine what is up, down, left and right.

No right, and not a guess, as I have one and it is as I described. Did you take the plastic snap caps off that cover the adjustments?

    gewehrfreund,

It's time for me to eat crow. I apologize for my first reply. Every other scope I have ever seen had threaded caps on the turrets. If it weren't for you; I would have never guessed that those things were snap caps. Thank you very much.

Those have the smooth sort of teardrop shaped caps, turn to get to where you can get a grip on them, IIRC?

Thank You to both of you. This was my introduction to that shape of cap. Both of us kept trying to make adjustments by rotating the caps. Now that you have educated me, we can remove the caps and adjust the scope.
