    My Great Load

Just got back from the range and shot these targets in my new to me .357 Blackhawk. These where in .38 Special casings loaded to .38 Special at normal pressures. Nothing +P. The load was a Lee 125 grain flat nose bullet that weighed out to 127 using a 1:20 alloy. The powder was Unique with a charge of 5.2 grains. The chronograph at the range said they were just over 1000 FPS with no pressure signs. Anyone who says that cast bullets aren't accurate they don't know what they are talking about.Click image for larger version.

Nice grouping. I agree with the cast not being accurate thing. Those lead balls almost wiped out the buffalo. Killed a lot of people in the civil war to. No them cast boolits are not very good shooters.

That boolit is very accurate and also works in 9 mm. If you get a chance to try the little lee 105 you might be surprised by it's accuracy.
Paper targets aren't your friends. They won't lie for you and they don't care if your feelings get hurt.

The lube I used was Magic Orange since that was in my inherited Lyman lube sizer. But I will be Powder Coating very soon. Just trying to figure out where to get the powder from. It's kinda funny how the biggest arguments me and my late brother had was about lube. I wanted to make my own and try powder coating, and he said that only store bought lube would stop leading of a barrel. Never did come to a compromise on that. I think we just had to argue about something or we won't be brothers.

I wonder if PC will affect accuracy? For better or worse?

Nice! Great revolver, too. You could probably use up a ton of lead doing what you are doing, and still have lots of life in that gun.

MOA @ 200, 308W pushed to jax fps, works fine. Any of smoke's powder.
