I'm on a streak, found another Winchester 1894

I was looking to get rid of a rifle that I wasn't using and my local gun shop had recently taken in a bunch of 1894 rifles, all from one owner and he only wanted his guns to have button mags and full length round barrels, so apparently the original owner ordered them all that way, one in each of the five calibers. So I traded for the .38-55 since I already have one and load for it now and like the round. This one was made in 1909 and it has a really nice bore. I hope to get it out to the range tomorrow.

.32 Winchester Special (with the correct, smokeless roller coaster sight), .30-30, .32-40, and .25-35. All were button mag guns like this one.

Very nice find. For that matter I would have been happy with any of the calibers you listed for this batch.

Those button magazine Winchesters are my favorites. Just something about the look that speaks to my soul. I don't particularly like curved butt plates but I can live with that. james

Wow, what a nice catch. I do like that configuration. I don't think I've ever seen one at the local shops.

you should have taken the .32 spl. that was the rarest of them all because of the sight.
