The solid soft lead bullet is undoubtably the best and most satisfactory expanding bullet that has ever been designed. It invariably mushrooms perfectly, and never breaks up. With the metal base that is essential for velocities of 2000 f.s. and upwards to protect the naked base, these metal-based soft lead bullets are splendid.

Forget everything you know about loading jacketed bullets. This is a whole new ball game!

I've been using it on a Williams and a Redfield. I think all American sight pitches will work.

I'll take the Merit disc, unless you're working a trade already.

I see by the time stamp, you were the first in line. Do you do Paypal? If so, drop me a message, I'll give you my email, and have it out in the next couple days.

PM in the pipeline. Sorry, Paul, I thought you had this one. Gosh, these little things have become investment instruments since the company stopped making them.

They did have a couple different thread pitches. Redfield had one of their main sights with an oddball pitch than the others. I have a merit that doesn’t fit some of my sights. IIRC the ones I bought fit my CMP surplus sights; Olympic and the mid grade one, not the International. The merit for that did not fit my Redfield for my Marlin 39A.

I wanted to buy more of them. . I used to be able to drive to Schenectady for work on them! I never did but I know guys that did.

I do have a metal lathe now so I could in theory spin an adapter.

Every normal man must be tempted at times to spit on his hands, hoist the black flag, and begin slitting throats. -- H.L. Mencken

The notion that a radical is one who hates his country is naïve and usually idiotic. He is, more likely, one who likes his country more than the rest of us, and is thus more disturbed than the rest of us when he sees it debauched. He is not a bad citizen turning to crime; he is a good citizen driven to despair.― H.L. Mencken
