What die could I use to full length size a 9mm Largo case?????
A few cases need to be full sized. They stick in the chamber.
For partial sizing, I use a Lee 9mm Luger die.
It's to short for the Largo.
I was thinking, maybe, 357mag??????

.38 Super should work.

I use .38 super. been doing it for years with no problems.
Me too. Have used .38 Super for years, don't own a die set specifically for 9mm Largo.
Thanks
Now I just have to get a 38 Super die.
I have used .38 Super dies and brass to feed a Destroyer Carbine, and charged the cases only to Largo pressure levels. They worked out very nicely even before Starline added the Largo to their inventory. What firearm are loading this brass to be fired in - handgun or rifle? Curious minds want to know.
It's a Destroyer rifle.
Been working on it for a while now.
Different powder, cast boolets.
Cases are shortened 9mm Magnum.
The Starline 9 Largo were a little short.
My other thread in the Military Rifle shows my "trials and tribulations of my Destroyer carbine"
Don't have a 38 Super die, so i was looking to see what is the closest in case dimensions.
Since I have to buy it anyway.
I'm going to see if I can find, just the sizer die, in 9x21 or 9x23.
These two seen to be the closest to the Largo.
I thought 9mm Largo and 9x23 were different names for the same cartridge ?
Am I incorrect ?
i have a set of 9mm largo dies that i dont need
Thank you, Littlewolf
Could a 223 rifle die be used
I resized 9x23 cases on a Hornady set of dies for 9x19 and 9x21 on the label. I would think a set of .39 Super dies would work too.
Always wanted to mess with one of those Destroyer carbines, sounds like fun.
38 Super is what I use

you could make brass from .223. it is a lot of work. I made .30 mauser that way back when you could not get anything else. I have made largo brass out of 9 m/m mag.brass and 9x23. even turned the rim off of .38 super. but now I just buy star line.
I have the startline brass. It was to short.
Got some 9mm mag from a member here.
Fitted to the chamber and it works great.
I tried full length sizing with my Lee 9mm die, but it sizes the neck down a little to much.
Gotta ask, are you shooting a LLama, Star, CZ-52, what?
Thank you
Mike
p.s. for those that will ask, yes I have a CZ-52 in Largo

I don't own a Largo but do own several 9mm Steyrs. All work well with cases sized in a 9mm Par die.
The Largo is an odd ball.
9mm Steyr too.
So far it's been an interesting journey.
Just like the Chassepot and Vetterli.
I use Lee 38 Super dies.
In the For What It's Worth section - the Starline 9mm Largo brass measures, consistently, .898" length. The vintage factory 9mm Largo brass that I have measures .911" minimum (some longer). So far, it hasn't been a problem in my Astra 400 or Destroyer.
