    Taurus TX22

Introduced earlier this year, and on a whim, I just put one on order after searching out as much feedback as possible on youtube and elsewhere. Nothing but two thumbs up from all the reviews so far, for what that's worth.

There was an issue with severe bbl leading and the culprit was traced back to a number of offset drilled bbls with the early releases - Taurus replacements were reported fast and free.

Built in Miami, FL, and not Brazil, an interesting design with this semi-auto .22LR that uses a 16 round polymer mag, hammer-less striker fired, 4" bbl, and a special trigger system with a super fast reset.

Some of the other features are about a 17.3oz dry weight, three dot sights w/adj. rear and all are replaceable, ambi frame safety and mag release, threaded barrel, twin mags that include a loader, easy one button take down, and an aftermarket supplier for fiber sights and a rear platform for a red dot. There's a 10 round mag and non-threaded version for us poor folks living in un-Constitutional states, grrrrr.

Good luck with it and give us a review. Do the threaded versions have an adapter that screws on to the barrel? All the ones I've seen look like the barrel doesn't have threads.

No shame in it. I have a Rossi .357 that is a nice shooting revolver. Many of the issues I hear of with Taurus stem from their customer service being lacking.
