Prayers for my father needed

My father has been diabetic for probably 25+ years. He has been very blessed to have had good health. He is currently 59 years old. Recently he developed a sore on both feet due to some rubbing in his shoe. As you all know, that is bad news for a diabetic. The sores worsened, and he has been treating it trying to get it to heal. But the wounds have not been healing, and some areas of his toes are turning black. He went to a man that works quite a bit with that type of stuff, and he said it is gangrene. Last evening he asked to be anointed by the pastors in our church, and he received it. Right now he is praying two-fold. First for patience. He is not used to not being able to do much. Secondly for healing. He has faced the possibility of losing his feet, and I believe he is surrendered. But that would be far from our desire. Our desire would be for healing. If you all would be so kind as to breathe a prayer for him it would be greatly appreciated. His name is Ed.

I have a friend who has been through the same. Once a big man at 6 feet 4 some inches. Now he's mostly in a mobility chair. Has lost both feet. But still of good chear and strong faith who does not blame God.

The hard part is accepting what can not be fixed.

I will be praying for him.

So the infection spread rapidly since last evening. We just took him to the ER.

Thanks for praying. They admitted him this eve and looks like possibly surgery tomorrow. Prob will lose a toe and a small part of his foot bit we are praying that he can still keep his foot. Keep on praying for him!

Father, Please be with Jevod's father as he navigates the murky waters of diabetes. Please save his feet and allow the sore to heal. Father, I pray that You intervene in his father's illness. AMEN

So just an update. Dad was is surgery twoce now and has lost 2 toes and a part of his foot. The big thing now is lack of blood flow. If blood flow is not re-established to his lower extremities he will lose part of his leg. They did some tests today to see what the possibilities are and we are waiting to jear back from those. We are praying that something can be done so he wont have to get a prosthesis
