    Shot a small whitetail doe with 130 grain Sierra Gamechanger bullet out of a 6.5 CM. 100 yds.
    6.5 in rib .68 out rib. Bang Flop.

    Imho if there was ever a perfect whitetail cartridge the 6.5x55 swede with 120 grain soft point is it.

    Same bullet, different cartridge.WDM Bell used a 6.5 mannlicher and a .275 Rigby to shoot more than a thousand elephants.
    A friend of mine shot a buck that was facing him at 50 yards with the 6.5 by 55. The load was the 160 grain Hornady round nose over h870 powder. Death was instant and the exit hole was about 3 in below the anus. He does love that little Swedish rifle.

    Ya beat me to it Texas! Although I was gonna say 6.5x54MS was what he used. .275 Rigby aka 7mm Mauser.
