    Lemon Squeezer

I'm looking at a Smith and Wesson .32 Double Action Safety 2nd Model. They were made from 1902 - 1909. Checking around for loads, some posters say only BP should be used. That manufacture date range is well into the smokeless period. Any suggestions?

If it checks out to be safe & suitable to fire,
I'd put together mild smokeless loads and fire it a few times.

My grandfather had one of those and while it was made during the smokeless powder era, I wouldn't want to stress one of those revolvers a lot.

The top break 32's came in a lot of different levels of quality but none of them were very strong.

Even the factory smokeless powder loads for 32 S&W (not 32 S&W Long) are held pretty low.

RCBS 32-84 RN over 1.2 grains of Bullseye is what I loaded for the Iver Johnson that I had.
