    lee 308-230 subsonic in the bo

    This will be a ruger American not an ar I have to worry about function with. How slow can I go before I loose stability with this bullet.

    well I found out that 3.5 grains of red dot is quiet. It at least puts holes in the snow.

    I assume that it will have the 1:7 twist. If so the simplified stability calculators say it will be stable down to 500fps. Keep in mind that these calculators are designed for supersonic bullets so may not be that accurate at subsonic. Lee website says the bullet is 1.36" long.
