Greetings everybody !
I am casting lead bullets and powder-coating them using the electrostatic method with polyester based powder paint. I have quite some experience casting and coating and I can control the thickness of the coat. My question to you fellow casters is - how thick should the optimal coating be - 0.001, 0.002 or 0.003 ? I don't have lead built up in the barrel regardless if I make the coating 0.00075 or 0.003. Is there something I am missing about the thickness of the coat? Most of the time I am using 2/6/92 alloy (hardball), I am shooting with Tanfoglio Stock 2, 9x19, the powder is N320.
