    Scope Leading

    You read that right.

Any suggestions on how to remove lead spatter from a scope?

The porting on my revolver threw a bit of lead onto the scope body, was interested if anyone knew any "easy" methods of removal.

    Thanks in advance!

You might try a little Kroil on it. Let it soak for a while (maybe overnight) then rub the lead off with some coarse cloth. I haven't used it on a scope, but it worked to get lead spatter from ported barrels off the sides of front sights on revolvers.
    Good Luck.

Not sure but that would scare me, sooner or later, probably sooner, you're going to get lead on your lens aren't you?

After you clean the lead off your scope put some black tape around it that's what I do for my stream-light on my H/D pistol not so much for
lead but the powder and yes a little Kroil on it

If the coarse cloth won't remove the splatter after a Kroil soak, try pushing off these specks with a wood toothpick. It seems I reach for the toothpick box more frequently every week.
