    Seismic - 185gr +M 9mm ammo

I just ran into an article about these super heavy 185gr +M 9mms. In the past I loaded some 155 NOE and Lee 160gr over 3gr of W231 in 9mm and I really like how they shoot. Very little muzzle flip, like a mini 45acp, very soft to shooting. I'm curious how these would work.

Bet they would be the cast pajamas from a carbine length barrel as far as soft shooting and delivering some thump!

Interesting ! Don't know how they seat that long bullet that deep in the case without it buldging? Maybe using brass similar to 38spl WC brass ??
If you find yourself in a fair fight, your tactics suck!

It appears to be loaded in a two piece case. This would allow the sides to be the same thickness from the mouth to the base. They could go a deep as they needed to.
I can't find any specs on how fast it is going.

Yes Seismic loads use shell shock cases https://www.shellshocktechnologies.com/technology/
which are stainless with an aluminum base, the stainless walls are stright and no web per say. They also hold a grain or so more powder then normal brass cases. The only way to run 185gr-205gr bullets is by having a boat tail or a bevel base on it to clear the web of the brass case. I have designed 2 cast bullet molds with boat tails that will fit in a standard 9mm brass case and the 185gr is interesting and runs great. I have found some loads that is 800-850fps in my 10.5" DI AR and need to refine them to get the best accuracy from the loads. I also started to use the shell shock cases but it is still a work in progress for both the 185gr and 205gr bullets.
Here are the drawings for the bullets I drew up, I also had Tom at AccurateMolds cut both and they case beautifully.

Before long 9mm pistol manufacturers will be offering fast twist rate barrels for VLD boolits...

Design a 9mm Volcanic rocket ball, and you won't have any brass to pickup or tumble
