    Sweet!

About how far is your max target distance there in the woods?

I have a tree stand in a nice spot but crowded with trees.

    Good luck!

    Wow.

If your killer instincts are clean, and pure, that lady's fire breathing dragon doesn't stand a chance.

A theoretical max would be 70 yards. But in reality the longest shot I ever tried and made on a deer was 72 yards with a scoped slung gun. Most all of my gun shots are 50 yards or less. My longest bow shot on a deer was 40 yards.

I believe in getting up early and getting into the thick stuff, getting close is hunting for me. If you want to impress me as a hunter tell me how close you got to the critters.

Had an old farmer here who did it right his blind was in a great location, he paid attention to details and knew what he was doing. most of his kills were easier measured in feet than yards. For him 20 yards was a long shot. LOL

    Yes, that was my inference.
I have to get them inside 25 yards for an unobstructed shot.
So if they walk by at 30, it'll be behind the trees

The wife got this picture this afternoon.

This fella lives in a 5-6 acre wooded area across the street from us.

If I shot it, it be like killing the neighbor's pet.

Yeah that is my church too!
Always felt closest to him out in the wild, wood or water, A nice tree for shade that I could sit down and lean on was better than any pew in any church I've yet seen. Get away from the world, get your mind quieted down, never had any trouble hearing the Lord. Always came back refreshed and ready to do what needed doing.
