    Colt Lightning

I was in a gun store and ran across a gun that I had never seen before. It was a Colt Lightning in excellent condition in 32/20. It was selling for $899.00. Is that a good price?

Check the barrel. If it is good, that is a very good price by my understanding. Even if it is a repro it is a good price. New I believe they go over $1000.

Even if the bore is rotten, if the rifle is otherwise OK mechanically, working and missing no parts, at that price it is worth buying to have professionally relined and rechambered.

Thanks for the input. The gun looked almost brand new. But did check the bore.

I have heard of feeding problems with them. Might be why it looks new.
